Awesome to see my friend Ana get her book The Loneliness Trap published recently. It’s always interesting to hear where other creatives find inspiration - Ana’s starting point was seeing some newly weds appearing from a church, and a few years away another woman crouched behind a wall, hood up, spying on them. From there all the questions started… who was she? Why was she there? Did she know the couple? And here’s the synopsis of the book: “When Gwen meets a charming man online, she thinks her lonely days are over. But is he really all he seems?Gwen is looking for love. Her ex-husband has remarried, and her sisters and son are busy with their own lives. Feeling lonely, she takes the leap and sets up an online dating profile. It's not long before she meets an interesting man. Tom Hunter is handsome, exciting and much younger than her - and he makes Gwen feel like a desirable woman again. Soon, Gwen is head over heels in love.Gwen's family members feel she is moving too fast, but she won't listen. It seems that her dreams have come true. But appearances can be deceptive, and love can be a trap.”I’ll be sure to get a copy and have a read… you can grab a copy from Waterstones here: https://lnkd.in/eXkwAWqq#digitalmarketing #business #photography — My posts hopefully help you start the day right - with a cup of tea or coffee and an interesting picture or video. And as it’s LinkedIn, I wanted to add a little bit of insight into creating a fresh #visualidentity for your business.Use #morrishandco to follow and see all the good stuff from the archive and keep up with my (mostly) daily posts. You can find more about me on Instagram @frographer

How would you finish this statement, “It’s My Turn To…”? However you end your statement, remember that it’s all in your hands.1️⃣ Know what you want – Without a goal, you are simply putting efforts in something that makes no sense to you, which will never get you closer to the feeling of truly accomplishing something that truly matters to you.2️⃣ Create your vision – It’s important to have a visual representation of your future with everything you want in it. It can be a Pinterest board, a vision board with magazine photos, or even an album of photos and quotes on your phone. Just make sure that you keep your goals in sight.

PROFESSIONAL HIVE MIND:I decided to count how many minimalist portraits I have done to date, and they easily number over 300, from singers and actors to historical figures and even friends. It seems to be the style where my mind and heart gravitate right now and I at least have a lot of fun doing them. A friend asked recently why I did them, or rather, if they were part of a larger project. I said, “No, not yet (always say “not yet” in life to keep the door open). I currently do them for creative enjoyment, to keep my design muscles in use, and in the case of awareness months, to raise…well, awareness. That said, I would love to see them become something physical out in the larger world. Editorial spot illustrations? A book? Album covers? Thoughts? What would you buy that had these? That is the bottom line question as a publisher, art director, etc. will only buy them they in turn compel consumers to buy them. Here is a sample of just singers I have done.Tag someone you think would love these.

Let's talk the impact of neglect on your family photo collection. Maybe taking care of your photos is on your to-do list...for "someday". Curious about why leaving this to "someday" is a bad idea? For starters - - Each photo tells a story, freezing a moment in time. Neglecting the preservation of them means losing more than just pictures – you're losing the essence of irreplaceable moments. Let's make sure each smile, each milestone, is not forgotten. - Family albums are cultural artifacts, a visual timeline of our heritage. Neglect puts these tangible links to the past at risk. The sepia-toned photos and digital snapshots alike carry the weight of our history—let's ensure they're passed down intact to future generations.- Behind every photo lies a narrative, a piece of the puzzle that forms our family's traditions. Neglect threatens not only the pictures but also the stories they hold. Embracing proactive preservation is the key to safeguarding these insights and passing on a legacy that goes beyond pixels and prints. - In a world of endless digital files, it's easy for photos to get lost in the shuffle. Let's be proactive in our efforts—digitize old prints and back them up, back up born-digital photos, and ensure these memories aren't lost to the whims of technology. As we click through the present, let's not forget to safeguard the visual memories of our past. Print or digital, each photo is a thread in the fabric of our family history. Let's commit to preserving these moments, ensuring they endure the test of time in the albums of our hearts. If you need help managing, organizing and preserving your family collection, let's talk! Your legacy deserves it.#PhotoPreservation #FamilyLegacy #PreserveThePast
