We're currently looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team. In the Technical Support Specialist role, you will provide support to Berkshire eSupply's domestic & international customers who utilize our private label ecommerce platform. You will coordinate support & development of our private label ecommerce platform with our internal Tech teams, Field Sales, and international partners in order to provide unmatched service to our customers and support the growth of the Berkshire eSupply Network. Our team can effectively support our customers remotely via our headquarters in Novi, but some demonstrations/training may require an onsite visit.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all company web platforms & features and ability to effectively demonstrate functionality.
  • Support changes to system domain, Favicon, and CMS Editor Pages; conduct additional training sessions as needed.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and participate in technical integration calls with customers, third party software firms, and BeS team members.
  • Document & test new website features in a sandbox environment and provide approval for rollout when conditions are met.
  • Support our distributors with loading/linking their website advertisem*nts, such as banner ads, URL links to promo pages, catalog sections, or PDFs.
  • Assist customers with website administration, including data management, user permissions, order/pricing/marketing management, translation, settings, and network compatibility.
  • Assist customers with SEO set up for their websites, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, My Business, various reporting, etc.
  • Assist with other projects & duties when the business needs require.
  • Travel: 10%

Experience and Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION:

  • 3+ years of experience in website development and/or support, project management, help desk, or related field.
  • High School Degree or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with HTML, CMS, CSS, PHP, Java, SQL, API's, web programming, E-commerce, cross-browser compatibility, coding and modifying websites (from layout to function and according to client specifications).
  • Demonstrated experience using a ticketing system (Jira, Fresh Desk, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Punch Out Catalogs such as Ariba, SAP, Vroozi, and others.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
  • Effective problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
  • Customer-centric attitude and a desire to contribute to customer-focused company
  • Proficient use of a computer & Microsoft Office Suite
